$43M award for woman with mesothelioma

The woman said she believes she was exposed to asbestos cleaning clothes of her husband, a general contractor.

A Los Angeles jury awarded $43 million to a woman who claimed she developed mesothelioma after being exposed to asbestos on her husband’s clothes in the late 1970s.

Weitz & Luxenberg P.C. represented Deanne Warren, a 64 year old woman who was diagnosed with mesothelioma in late 2019. Her husband, a general contractor, installed doors throughout the 1980s that had asbestos in them and she was exposed to the dust when he took his clothes...
