Plaintiffs haven’t shown LA court failing to comply with bail rulings

The case is one of several around the state alleging courts are ignoring rulings in two cases that found defendants cannot be held in jail solely for their inability to pay bail.

A federal judge ruled that a group of plaintiffs had not yet sufficiently shown Los Angeles County Superior Court is failing to comply with a pair of recent rulings on bail. But U.S. District Court Judge Dolly M. Gee said the plaintiffs have standing to move forward with their case.
