FBI probe after Angel Stadium deal prompts appeal notice

The sale was canceled May 24 after the Anaheim City Council voted to void the contract due to an FBI search warrant affidavit about the former mayor regarding whether he may have taken actions outside of the negotiating process including accepting campaign contributions and sharing a negotiating document.

A lawsuit filed against the city of Anaheim over the now canceled sale of Angel Stadium is being appealed in the wake of a corruption probe by the FBI into former Mayor Harry Sidhu, who resigned last week.
