Wildlife agency will decide in 2 years whether to protect imperiled fish
“Endangered Species Act safeguards would be a crucial lifeline as Santa Ana and Long Valley speckled dace try to survive climate chaos and other threats. To settle a lawsuit, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said it would decide “on or before July 31, 2024” whether to protect two California species of fish under the Endangered Species Act.
