LA County questions deal city reached on homelessness
“The proposed settlement also attempts to usurp the county’s right to determine how to fund and run its own homelessness programs,” Skip Miller of Miller Barondess LLP, the lawyer for the county, said in a statement.
Los Angeles County filed a response to a settlement the city of Los Angeles reached with a homeless advocacy group, questioning provisions of the deal that would obligate the county to help the city meet the terms of its pledge to mitigate homelessness even though the county wasn't a party to the deal.
