Former LA utility cyber chief gets 4 year prison term
David F. Alexander lied to federal agents “about a lucrative job offer he secretly solicited and agreed to accept in exchange for providing ‘guarantees’ of additional LADWP contract money to a lawyer,” stated a U.S. Department of Justice news release.




LOS ANGELES — Following the six-year prison term for the head of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, the utility’s former cybersecurity chief was sentenced Tuesday to 48 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to lying to the FBI during a corruption investigation.
The U.S. attorney’s office had sought a 51-month sentence.
