Commission meets on proposal to eliminate Bar Exam requirement

Two proposals, one for California-based would-be attorneys and another for out-of-state and foreign applicants, are under consideration at a public hearing of the Blue Ribbon Commission on the Future of the Bar Exam starting at 10 a.m.

A commission of the California Supreme Court and the State Bar will meet Thursday to consider recommending attorneys be licensed without passing the bar exam.
