Meta faces more lawsuits that allege its platforms target children
"Things we are seeing in our clients and that we're investigating include eating disorders, self harm, cutting ... suicide attempts, completed suicide and really severe anxiety and depression issues," said Joseph VanZandt of Beasley Allen Law Firm, which filed the complaints.




A series of product liability class actions were filed against Meta across several states by parents who say Facebook and Instagram were aware their products were harming young children and did nothing to stop it.
The lawsuits, filed last week, mirror others filed by a nonprofit and draw heavily on information released last year by a former Facebook employee.
