Insurance company’s conservatorship is upheld

California Insurance Company claims its constitutional rights were violated when Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara got a San Mateo County judge to place it under his state agency’s control.

California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara’s decision to place the assets of an insurance company under conservatorship was upheld by a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel Friday.
