Potter Handy LLP will argue July 7 for dismissal of a joint civil complaint by San Francisco and Los Angeles district attorneys accusing the law firm of filing thousands of “fraudulent, boilerplate lawsuits against small businesses.”
“These are not fraudulent lawsuits,” David J. Darnell of Callahan & Blaine, Potter Handy’s counsel, said on a phone call Tuesday. “The DAs’ office actions are misguided and are purposely political.”
