The Watergate scandal 50 years later: a personal story
Twenty-four year old Frank Wills and I crossed the street to the restaurant on the Howard Johnson’s ground floor to get cheeseburgers and milkshakes. Back at the hotel, I took my motorcycle to return to my cousin’s place. Frank found the door re-taped and called the police. Frank’s actions resulted in the burglars’ arrests and in events now memorialized in books and movies.
