VW and Porsche agree to $80M deal in emissions litigation
The settlement is not an admission of guilt by the car manufacturers and its terms allow for owners of eligible cars purchased between 2005 and 2020 to receive compensation of between $250 and $1,109.




Volkswagen and Porsche agreed to an $80 million settlement Thursday to compensate consumers for allegedly manipulating the emissions data on their test vehicles to bypass regulators and sell 500,000 cars to the public under the guise that the vehicles were more environmentally friendly and more fuel efficient than they actually were.
