Judge coaches of youth need not disqualify if kid's parent is attorney
A judge who coaches a youth sport need not self disqualify if the attorney parent of one of the children appears in court, according to a draft formal opinion issued Friday by the Supreme Court Committee on Judicial Ethics Opinions.
Public comment on the draft will be accepted until Aug. 1.
