US Supreme Court denies Bayer’s appeal of $25M Roundup verdict
“The company believes that the decision undermines the ability of companies to rely on official actions taken by expert regulatory agencies, as it permits every U.S. state to require a different product label, which conflicts with the clear intent of the ‘uniformity clause’ adopted by the U.S. Congress in FIFRA and similar statutes,” Bayer said in a statement.




The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday denied Bayer AG’s appeal of plaintiff Edwin Hardeman’s $25 million jury verdict that found his non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma was caused by the weedkiller Roundup.
The ruling is more bad news for Bayer in the weedkiller litigation.
