Legal Services gets $154,000 to help wildfire victims

“This funding will help Californians navigate insurance claims, housing issues, document recovery, and more as they seek to get their lives back on track,” said Sen. Alex Padilla.

The Legal Services Corp. will award $154,032 to Legal Services of Northern California to represent low-income people impacted by wildfires in 2020 and 2021.

“Low-income people who confront civil legal issues in the wake of natural disasters face an uphill battle, and they shouldn’t have to go it alone,” LSC President Ronald S. Flagg said in a news release on Tuesday.
