State high court to review PAGA on issue of manageability at trial

"Do trial courts have inherent authority to ensure that claims under the Private Attorneys General Act will be manageable at trial, and to strike or narrow such claims if they cannot be managed?" the court said in its review decision.

The California Supreme Court agreed to review a new Private Attorneys General Act case on the issue of trial manageability one week after the U.S. Supreme Court disapproved part of a 2014 opinion on the law that left attorneys throughout the state uncertain and divided on the implications.
