Sony awaits dismissal of suit over control of PlayStation games sales

“Apparently searching for a technology platform that had yet to be sued for monopolization, plaintiffs here landed on Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC,” wrote John F. Cove Jr. of Shearman & Sterling LLP in representation of Sony.

Sony Corp. awaits a federal judge’s decision on whether to dismiss a case that accuses the Japanese conglomerate of stopping the sale to retailers of digital game codes for PlayStation games in order to become the sole provider through its online storefront.
