4 incumbent DAs were defeated, 2 run-offs set

The district attorney candidates who defeated incumbents were Sarah M. Hacker of Kings County, Jennifer R. Dupre of Sutter County, Ronald F. Freitas of San Joaquin County and Nicole A. Silveira of Merced County.

Four incumbent district attorneys were defeated in their bid for reelection in the June 7 primary in California. Seventeen district attorneys were reelected. The November ballot will contain runoff elections in Imperial and Alameda counties.
