Class action alleges Amazon charges for services not asked for

“Prime membership does not include Audible for ‘free.’ Rather, contrary to its representation, Audible provides downloadable and streaming audio content for a monthly fee,” plaintiffs lawyer Michael Reese said.

A class action filed by consumers against Amazon alleging a scheme of surreptitious subscribing methods used by the company in order to charge customers for services they did not ask for was removed to federal court on Thursday.
