Brooke A. Jenkins was sworn in as San Francisco’s new district attorney on Friday. But she immediately finds herself in the same position as predecessor, Chesa Boudin — facing a tough election battle to keep her seat.
Jenkins will need to win in November to keep the job for the last full year of the four-year term Boudin won in 2019. She will almost certainly face a well-known progressive challenger, whether it’s Boudin or someone else.
