Walgreens denies it ignored opioid crisis in San Fransisco in search of profits

‘Your honor, you were presented a picture of Walgreens that just doesn’t reflect the pharmacy that’s been servicing San Francisco for the past 70 years,’ said Brian Swanson of Bartlit Beck.

An attorney for Walgreens faced tough questions but also some sympathy from a federal judge on Wednesday as the remaining defendant in a lawsuit brought by the city and county of San Francisco over the company’s role in the opioid crisis.
