715K signatures for recall of Gascon to be hand-counted
“This was always going to be close, but we are right in line with the verification rate we need to qualify according to the Registrar’s initial sample batch count,” recall campaign spokesman Tim Lineberger said.
A hand count of all 715,833 signatures submitted by the Recall District Attorney George Gascón campaign will proceed after a sample check showed 78.1% were valid, the Los Angeles County Registrar of Voters announced.
