Uber settles disability suit filed by the Justice Department

The rides-sharing company agreed not to charge disabled persons for time it takes them to get in and out of cars.

Uber Technologies Inc. agreed to pay more than $2 million to settle allegations raised by the U.S. Justice Department that it violated the Americans with Disabilities Act by charging disabled riders for the extra time it took them to get to, and in and out of a car.
