Judge asked to end suit over Google Classroom platform

The motion to dismiss, which was heard by U.S. Magistrate Judge Virginia K. DeMarchi, argued that the company played no meaningful part in an incident where a hacker took over the student’s school device.

A District Court judge took under submission Google’s motion to dismiss a lawsuit accusing the company’s Classroom platform of collecting a minor student’s personal information and allowing the account to be used to send sexually explicit content to a teacher.
