Alameda County sued over racial quota for subcontractors

On behalf of a group that helped block repeal of California’s affirmative action ban, Pacific Legal Foundation filed a lawsuit against Alameda County over its racial preference subcontracting policy.

The Californians for Equal Rights Foundation embarked on its latest battle against racial quotas and diversity programs implemented by state governments, suing Alameda County and its agencies for allegedly discriminating against non-minority owned contractors bidding for government contracts with the county.
