FTC sues to halt Meta acquisition of VR fitness app

The complaint, filed in the Northern District of California, accuses Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg of buying Within Limited and its fitness app, Supernatural, as part of its effort to dominate the entire virtual reality ecosystem.

The Federal Trade Commission’s Wednesday lawsuit seeking an injunction against Meta Platforms Inc.’s acquisition of a virtual reality fitness app will test the Biden administration’s ability to enforce an aggressive interpretation of antitrust law, legal observers said.
