Bar official outlines opposition to no-exam, asks other states how they handled it
“Even if the exam itself were completely free of bias, the fact remains that the disparate outcomes of the bar exam are perpetuating the systemic inequities that we see and contributing to what I think and many think is an unacceptable lack of diversity in the legal profession,” said Logan Cornett, director of research for the University of Denver’s Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System




The State Bar’s chief of programs enumerated the concerns California’s attorneys have expressed about licensing without a bar exam at an American Bar Association hosted conference Thursday, then asked panelists in Colorado, Utah and Oregon to weigh in on how they handled such opposition.
