States deal with Allergan follows Teva for total $6.62B
The companies are in negotiations led by 13 states. Teva and Allergan still need to reach agreements on business practice changes and transparency requirements. Allergan’s fund will be disbursed over six years while Teva’s will be over 13 years. After they are finalized, the settlements will resolve claims for over 3,000 cases.




Attorney General Rob Bonta, along with a bipartisan group of state attorneys, announced Friday a $2.37 billion settlement with former opioid manufacturer Allergan. On Tuesday, a similar $4.25 billion settlement with another opioid manufacturer, Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd., was made public.
