Spy trial nears end with dispute on whether Twitter owns user data

For two weeks Ahmad Abouammo, a former media partnerships manager at Twitter, stood trial in San Francisco on charges he conspired with his two absent co-defendants to turn over the private information of certain Twitter accounts to Saudi officials; specifically a top adviser to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

Final arguments are set for Thursday in the trial of a former Twitter employee accused of selling the private information of political dissidents to agents of the Saudi Arabian government, some of whom were subsequently imprisoned, according to trial witnesses.
