Disbarred, bankrupt lawyer needn’t repay State Bar client security fund

A disbarred attorney need not reimburse the State Bar $2 million for its Client Security Fund for payments to his defrauded clients because the amount can be discharged in bankruptcy, a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel determined.
