Bertram H. Fields, 1929 — 2022

Dubbed the Cardinal Richelieu of Tinseltown by the Hollywood trade press, Bertram Fields counted amoung his clients DreamWorks Pictures, actors Tom Cruise, Dustin Hoffman and Warren Beatty, and Michael Jackson and The Beatles.

Bertram H. Fields, the litigator and éminence grise to some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, died Sunday at his home in Malibu following neurological complications of long-haul COVID, the managing partner at his law firm, Greenberg Glusker Fields Claman & Machtinger LLP, confirmed. He was 93.
