Harley-Davidson faces 2 class actions over right to repair

The lawsuits were filed two months after the motorcycle maker settled a claim filed by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission that included an agreement to loosen restrictions over generic parts and third-party mechanics that voided warranties.

Harley-Davidson is forcing bike owners to pay inflated repair prices by limiting where and how vehicles can be serviced, according to class actions filed in California and Wisconsin, where the motorcycle maker is headquartered.
