$30.5M settlement with Apple workers over bag searches is OK’d

Attorneys for the plaintiffs said their clients would not be able to leave the premises of their workplace for several minutes, at times longer, after their shift due to security screenings.

A judge in the Northern District of California approved a $30.5 million settlement between Apple Inc. and a class of 15,000 retail employees who t alleged the technology giant did not pay them for time spent in security checks after their shifts.
