DOJ settles retaliation lawsuit by upgraded work rating, week’s pay
Nicola T. Hanna, who was the U.S. attorney for the Central District of California at the time the accusations were made, said: “This was a manufactured claim by someone upset with his annual performance review. As clearly stated in the settlement agreement, Main Justice investigated the allegations and found no discrimination or retaliation. The final outcome, a nuisance value settlement, speaks for itself.”




The U.S. Department of Justice finalized a settlement with a federal prosecutor in Orange County who accused the U.S. attorney’s office of retaliation after he reported allegations of discrimination, including racist remarks and biased promotion policies, within its offices.
