9th Circuit conservatives lash out at majority in Hawaii gun ruling

Senior 9th Circuit Judge Diarmuid O’Scannlain was joined by three other colleagues in criticizing the appeals court for failing to address “straightforward legal questions” resolved by a U.S. Supreme Court ruling in June.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday remanded a Hawaii man’s lawsuit against that state over whether he can carry a concealed weapon in public, but four conservative dissenters chastised the majority for failing to resolve the case immediately.
