State Bar and LegalMatch agree to settle lawsuit

The State Bar claimed LegalMatch continued to provide services despite receiving a letter denying its certification as a lawyer referral service because it did not meet the minimum standards required in California.

The State Bar and LegalMatch have agreed to settle a lawsuit over whether the company is a certified lawyer referral service, according to a court document.

Reached Tuesday, both sides did not provide details of any deal. A court hearing is scheduled for October.
