State Bar decides to sell, not lease San Francisco headquarters

In another meeting, the State Bar Ad Hoc Commission voted against a proposed amendment to expungement policies for attorneys with domestic violence records.

The State Bar Board of Trustees confirmed Thursday they will sell the agency’s headquarters in San Francisco, rather than leasing it.

After a closed session Board Vice Chair Brandon N. Stallings said, “It is further resolved that the building will be marketed for sale under two scenarios: a) sale and vacate and b) sale and lease back.”
