Moderna fires first shot in COVID vaccine patent wars
Moderna explains this apparent about-face by pointing out that it refrained from asserting its patents earlier so as not to interfere with and distract from efforts to bring the pandemic to an end as quickly as possible.

On Aug. 24, Moderna filed two lawsuits against competitors Pfizer and BioNTech, alleging infringement of three of its patents on the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine.
