Lawyer who says judges acted wrongly may face sanction
Edward C. Chung of Seattle wrote he would boycott the hearing by Senior U.S. Circuit Judge A. Wallace Tashima, citing Washington state professional ethics rules that say an attorney may refuse to comply with “an obligation imposed by law upon a good faith belief that no valid obligation exists.”




Senior U.S. Circuit Judge A. Wallace Tashima, acting as a special master, said he will look into whether attorney Edward C. Chung of Seattle will face contempt charges and disciplinary proceedings for allegedly refusing to appear at a video hearing to defend himself. Chung said in a court filing it is Tashima that acted incorrectly as well as Circuit Judge Eric Miller.
