Insurer won’t pay county’s $69M wrongful prosecution case settlement

Ironshore Specialty Insurance Co. alleges San Bernardino County entered into the settlement with Colonies Partners without consulting its insurer.

An insurer says it should not have to indemnify San Bernardino County for a $69 million settlement reached with a developer that county and state prosecutors initially accused of corruption but were unable to win jury convictions.
