Progressive DAs are part of reform measure, despite number

AB 2418 would require state and local prosecutors to share bail and charging data with the California Department of Justice. It would also create a Prosecutorial Transparency Advisory Board to help enforce the law, including one member each from the alliance, the California Public Defenders Association and the California District Attorneys Association.

The progressive Prosecutors Alliance of California could get an official “seat at the table” in state government if Gov. Gavin Newsom signs criminal justice legislation on his desk.
