Tesla misled public about Autopilot, proposed class claims

“Contrary to Tesla’s repeated promises that it would have a fully self-driving car within months or a year, Tesla has never been remotely close to achieving that goal,” stated the proposed class action filed by Joseph W. Tesla Inc. misled the public regarding its driver assistance technology, for which many consumers pay additional thousands of dollars to make their new Tesla self-driving, a proposed class action alleged Wednesday.
