Uber employee says boss wanted breach to remain confidential
Cyber lawyers are closely watching the trial as Joseph Sullivan is one of the first cyber executives to be prosecuted for concealing a data breach. Sullivan’s lawyers have said he was scapegoated by new management who wanted to demonstrate that they were responding to several scandals at the company.




An Uber Technologies Inc. employee assigned to help respond to a 2016 data breach testified Wednesday that his boss was unusually involved in the situation and concerned that it remain confidential.
Craig Clark testified in the second week of a criminal prosecution of his former boss, Joseph Sullivan, who was chief of security at the ride-share company until he was fired in 2017 amid a wave of housecleaning.
