Jessner elected next presiding judge of LA County courts
She is to succeed Presiding Judge Eric C. Taylor on Jan. 3, vacating her position as assistant presiding judge. There are three candidates seeking to fill that position and ballots will go out on Sept. 28, said an announcement from the court.
