Investors allege Twitter misleading security claims

The lawsuit was filed the same day Twitter’s ex-security chief, Peiter Zatko, told Congress about numerous alleged weaknesses, including hiring agents of foreign governments into positions with access to user data.

A Los Angeles law firm sued Twitter Inc. on behalf of investors who claim they were misled about the company’s security practices on the same day a former security chief testified to Congress the data protections are outdated, users’ information isn’t secure and foreign spies easily get jobs there.
