PAGA action against ABC Studios moves to federal court

Although the charges added in the amended complaint are the only two claims to fall under federal jurisdiction of a total of 11 causes of action, all claims are subject to the U.S. District Court’s supplemental jurisdiction, defense attorney Blake R. Bertagna of Paul Hastings LLP contended in the notice of removal.

Attorneys defending a PAGA class action against ABC Studios removed the case from the Los Angeles County Superior Court to federal court because of an added charge of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act.
