Path is cleared for sanctions on Facebook and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher
The spirited battle over sanctions occurred during settlement negotiations. Both parties must file briefs this week.
U.S. District Judge Vince Chhabria cleared the path for a sanctions order against Facebook Inc. and its legal team from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP for alleged “frivolous” discovery delay, unredacting all sanction-related documents and calling for new responses from the parties to be filed this week.
