Ramsey appears to be pick for US attorney in San Francisco

Ismail J. “Izzy” Ramsey, a white collar defense attorney. appears to have beaten out Latham & Watkins LLP partner Leslie R. Caldwell, a former assistant attorney general in the U.S. Department of Justice’s criminal division who was the original director of the Enron Task Force.

White collar defense attorney Ismail J. “Izzy” Ramsey, a former prosecutor at the U.S. attorney’s office, is being vetted by President Joseph Biden administration to be the next U.S. attorney in San Francisco, according to people familiar with the matter.
