Caltech’s new suit could reopen discovery for $1.1B patent verdict
The motion filed Tuesday by the defendant’s counsel — Mark D. Selwyn and James M. Dowd of WilmerHale — asserts that the California Institute of Technology laid the foundation for discovery to be reopened by filing a similar lawsuit against Microsoft after the trial concluded in January 2020.
