Lawyer accused of taking bar for partner remains active

A suspended attorney told a federal jury on Thursday he “was ashamed and embarrassed” that he paid a partner at his Beverly Hills law firm to take the bar exam for him, a fact that he disclosed to prosecutors the night before he was to testify against an FBI agent accused of taking bribes from him.
